John is a licensed attorney in California (1993) and Arizona (1994). He is the managing owner of a law firm in San Diego. He has been recognized by his peers with an AV® Preeminent™ Peer Review by Martindale-Hubbell®, the highest recognition possible in the legal industry for professionalism and ethics, and he has been named as a “Top Lawyer in San Diego” from 2015 – 2023 as published by San Diego Magazine, March editions 2015-2023. During his 30 years of practicing law, he has specialized in business litigation, real estate, construction law, insurance law and personal injury/product liability.
Having seen the significant time, money and stress that people and companies go through during the litigation process, John started a mediation practice to assist those involved in litigation to try and resolve their disputes before the lawsuit goes to trial. When mediating, John blends his legal experience with his goal-oriented nature and compassion to achieve the best results possible for his clients.
Over the years, John has frequently been asked to act as a Moderator or Presenter at local and national conferences to discuss a variety of topics within his areas of legal specialization. The audiences at those conferences were private companies, professional trade groups and insurance companies.
John obtained his bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison (1989) and his law degree from California Western School of Law (1992).
